Language Will Take You to India
Young people from Magnitogorsk, among more than 550 delegations of teenagers from seven countries, tried themselves as participants of the Model United Nations in New Delhi (India). In addition to publicly presenting and defending the position of their chosen country on issues facing the global community in English during the sessions, British Club students were fully immersed in the language environment while staying with host families. The organizers noted the students' "accurate" English and strong communication skills.

A Modern Approach
The British Drive team successfully reached the finals of the regional professional skills competition "Act!" held in Chelyabinsk as part of the implementation of activities under the federal project "Success of Every Child" within the national project "Education" ("Introducing the Target Model for the Development of the Regional System of Supplementary Education"). Our teachers' project "An Exciting Journey into the World of Artificial Intelligence with English" was recognized as the best in the "Modern Approach" category.

Make Friends with the Future
Neural networks and the English language are inseparable—communicating with a neural network is most effective in English. This is no longer the future, it’s the present, though many still fear it. But you should get to know it and befriend it—and you’ll see there is nothing to be afraid of: a human remains in charge; the neural network merely solves the human’s tasks.

The Big Game. Artificial Intelligence
More than 500 children aged 13−17 are actively participating in developmental modules at the countryside specialized session at Ural Dawns (DOOTs "Uralskiye Zori"), organized jointly with Gamma-Gaming. The goal is to inspire children to interact successfully with artificial intelligence, use its capabilities for creative and educational purposes, and develop teamwork and strategic skills in esports.

Not the Little Things in Life
Winter holidays flew by, and the most erudite and diligent high school students immediately plunged into a series of annual subject Olympiads. The final stage of the Regional Competition of Schoolchildren of the Chelyabinsk University Educational District in foreign languages was held at the British Club venue.

Act!
The British Club team took part in the Regional Professional Skills Competition "Act!" Forty-five teams from 18 municipal districts of the Chelyabinsk Region participated. The competition included the following stages: the introduction "Introduce Yourself", the best practice "Share", educational modules ("Analyze," "Plan," "Design," "Implement"), and the final defense of an educational product. The expert council noted the high level of our team’s preparation, which became the winner in the "Best Distance Practice" category.

More Than Just a School
British Club is a unique brand for the city of Magnitogorsk. Next year the club celebrates its 15th anniversary. Everyone who wanted a "recipe" for developing language skills came here. The school has always strived—and continues to strive—to instill a culture of communication without language barriers.

From Bath to Magnitka, with Love
In just two years of living in our city, Daniel Foster has become more of a Magnitogorsk citizen than many who were born here. He heads the international department at the British Club language school and is responsible for the work of foreign teachers—there are three at the school today, and there will be four after the New Year.

To be or not?.. To be!
The linguistic summer session "Multiple Intelligence" has ended at the children’s countryside center "Ural Dawns". At the ceremonial lineup, under their national flags, march volunteers—16 foreigners foreign volunteers from the UK, USA, France, China, Malaysia, Egypt, Ghana, Turkey, and Algeria, for whom English is the only possible language for communicating with local children.

International Youth Forum "Agrosphere"
Magnitogorsk hosted the second international forum “Sustainable Environmental Development of the City”, held at the initiative of the British Club foreign language school. This topic is relevant and promising for an industrial city—experts noted that children’s developments, from dust collectors to bioindicators of air and water quality, were ready to be implemented in mass production.

New Year, New Plans
"In the coming year, we plan to expand the number of international projects and open new opportunities for high school students. One of the main focuses will be trips abroad; we also plan to invite a large number of foreign volunteers to participate in a major summer project," said Daniel Foster, head of the international department.

Countryside Project "Leadership Laboratory"
The session is traditionally international, with teachers and volunteers from seven countries—Russia and the UK, Germany and Italy, China, India, and Egypt. As Daniel Foster, head of the British Club’s international department, aptly noted in his address to the guests: "…in this world, people build relationships like chemical elements forming atomic bonds."

Cooler Than on Discovery!
Magnitogorsk hosted the international forum “Sustainable Urban Development Through the Eyes of Children.” It was recognized as the largest and most significant in all the years of such events during the 12-year history of the International Association of Young Researchers.

International Environmental Forum
In Magnitogorsk, at the British Club foreign language school, the forum of the International Association of Young Researchers began its work. Ambitions are high: at just 16, participants aim to propose their vision for urban development in line with environmental safety and preservation of the planet for future generations.

English the British Club Way
The Magnitogorsk foreign language center British Club ranked among the top twenty institutions of supplementary education for adults and children in the Ural Federal District. Out of 532 similar organizations, the club took 16th place. No other Magnitogorsk institutions appeared in the ranking.

Intercultural exchange is a traditional and essential practice for the British Club. Every year, teachers from the UK and students from Ghana, India, Egypt, China, Thailand, and Turkey work here. British Club students periodically visit France, Hungary, Germany, and the UK under exchange programs.

Countryside Project "The Big Five"
A unique journey across five continents: naturally Russia, the USA and country music, China and its intricate characters, England with Mary Poppins, football, and Sherlock Holmes, as well as exotic Ghana with its representative in bright national dress.

Maximum Immersion
A large-scale political simulation based on the UN model took place in Germany. Notably, Magnitogorsk, represented by the British Club, was the only Russian city at the conference, alongside participants from many countries. Participation in such an international forum requires not only excellent English but also mastery of the language of diplomacy.

During their visit to Beijing, British Club students fully immersed themselves in the vibrant life of China, climbed the Great Wall, enjoyed green parks and Eastern architecture, and—most importantly—boosted their Chinese language skills through immersion.

Summer Language Session "Design Your Future"
Early career guidance for children—this is the trend adopted by British Club methodologists and teachers when designing the theme of the session. Under the motto "Design Your Future," on four platforms children, in addition to learning a foreign language, explored the basics of various professions.

Beat Swords into Plowshares
Many are familiar with the sculptural triptych: "Home Front to the Front," "The Motherland Calls," and "The Liberator Soldier." In 1957, near the UN Headquarters in New York, the statue "Let Us Beat Swords into Plowshares" by Yevgeny Vuchetich was installed.

In 2015, the hockey team Metallurg celebrated its 60th anniversary. To mark the occasion, a legends match was held in Magnitogorsk. A special report was prepared by a British Club student.

International Session “My Universe”
Imagine that two beings from another planet landed on Earth, at the Karagaysky Bor site. The task for project participants was to tell them, in universally accessible English, about how our planet works and about teenagers' lives, hobbies, and interests—with help from friends from other countries, the UK and Ghana.

Summer Immersion in the Language Environment
This year in Abzakovo, the teachers of British Club managed not only to organize English language studies as an academic subject, but also to teach other subjects in English. Such a strong presence of international guests pursued the ultimate goal — deep immersion of students into the language environment.

At the International Level
In April of this year, the British Club School of Foreign Languages joined the International Association of Young Scientists in the field of natural sciences. The First Step into Big Science
Students of the British Club School of Foreign Languages returned from the International Congress of Young Scientists in the field of natural sciences, which took place in Hungary. Nikita and Evgenia, both athletes, researched the issue of injuries in hockey. Alexander and Tatyana chose the topic of health — specifically thyroid diseases — as both plan to become doctors in the future.

“Oscar” — Magnitogorsk Style
Students of British Club are mastering the art of filming and editing in their own film studio under the guidance of a professional instructor. At the Partner cinema hall, they presented their works, gathered fellow students and parents, and turned the event into a full-fledged "Oscar" award ceremony. The main theme that touched everyone’s hearts — of all ages — was, of course, love.

Christmas at the British Club
By its fifth year, the educational center had acquired its own building and turned it into a true home — a place everyone wanted to return to. The Christmas fair stalls were set up both inside and around the building, and the bright festive lights became a vivid highlight of a neighborhood once shrouded in darkness. In a way, Christmas at the British Club became a celebration for the entire community.

Academic Summer
For the students of the British Club School of Foreign Languages, summer is not only a time for rest but also an opportunity to strengthen their knowledge. With the move to a new building came new possibilities. Now, during the holidays, the school runs a city camp where children both study foreign languages and enjoy leisure activities. The well-equipped grounds of the center provide an excellent setting for outdoor lessons and extracurricular activities.

United Nations Week
Just recently, a delegation from British Club represented Russia and the city of Magnitogorsk at the annual international conference in Germany. Upon their return, the Club hosted its own United Nations Week, where students shared their experiences from the trip.

We’re Five Years Old!
The British Club School of Foreign Languages celebrated its fifth anniversary with a theatrical performance titled "Doors." The students aimed to showcase all the innovative projects the school had implemented over the years. Each door, according to the organizers' idea, led to a new discovery — and the main one was the door to life. Indeed, it’s hard to get by without foreign languages today — in every area of life, from business to entertainment.

Without an Interpreter
The Magnitogorsk British Club has established a partnership with David Gillespie, a professor at the University of Bath. Professor Gillespie is a specialist in Russian language and literature. Until now, his visits to Russia had been limited to Moscow and St. Petersburg — Magnitogorsk became his first new destination.

This was the first major session that brought together two camp sites in Abzakovo. It offered full immersion in a foreign language with native speakers from the USA and the UK. Quests, challenges, mind games, and much more made this camp an unforgettable experience for the children!

The Model United Nations, in which British Club students took part, is a synthesis of a scientific conference and a role-playing simulation. During the event, university and high school students reproduce the work of various UN bodies in several of the organization’s official languages. They gain diplomatic, leadership, public speaking, and language skills — as well as the ability to reach compromise.

How to Apply Using Your Additional Education Certificate (via Gosuslugi)
- Log into your account or register on the Gosuslugi portal.
- You can do this via the official app or website.
- In the "Children and Education" section, open the "Enrollment in Extracurricular Activities tab.
- You’ll see basic information about your child’s additional education certificate.
- Click the "Start" button.
- Choose your region and municipality, then select the school year during which your child plans to attend activities.
- The system will show what documents are required, how to pay, and how the organizer can contact you.
- Review the information and click "Continue to Application."
- Choose an educational program.
- You can use search, filters, or a map to find suitable clubs by location.
- Browse the filtered list to see full program descriptions, you’ll be able to read full descriptions of available programs — including group sizes, fees, and locations.
- When ready, click "Select Group" and then "Enroll in this Group."
- Select the preferred start date and payment method.
- Provide your child’s information and submit the application — that’s the final step.
